Ingredients
- 5/4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp vegetable broth powder
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 8 oz mushrooms (sliced)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/2 onion (chopped)
Instructions
Makes about 2.5 cups. 1. Whisk together milk, flour, broth powder, and seasonings in a bowl. 2. Sauté the mushrooms, onion, and garlic in a pan over medium heat until the mushrooms reduce in size and release juice. 3. Add liquid mixture and stir often until thickened.
