Ingredients
- 2 cups water (warm)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 4 tsp yeast
- 1 tbsp salt
- 5 cups flour (more as needed)
- 200 g cheese shreds (eg one package Daiya cheddar)
Instructions
1. Add the water, butter, sugar, and yeast, then wait 15 minutes for the yeast to activate. 2. Add flour and salt, then knead. 3. Spread butter over dough and cover in plastic wrap, then let rise until doubled in size, about 1.5-2 hours. 4. Knead down, then knead in cheese. 5. Cover with plastic wrap then let rise until doubled in size, about 1.5-2 hours. 6. Cut pieces off and form into bun shapes slightly smaller than the muffin pan, and place in a greased muffin pan. 7. Let rise slightly over pan, about 30-60 minutes. 8. Bake at 350F until done. Check after 25 minutes.
