Ingredients
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tbsp agave syrup
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp liquid smoke (optional)
- 4 oz soy curls
- 3/2 cup beefless broth
- 5 chilis (chopped with seeds removed)
- 2 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 small onion (sliced)
Instructions
1. Mix brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, agave, sesame oil, black pepper, ginger, and liquid smoke to make sauce. 2. Rehydrate soy curls in broth for at least 15 minutes. 3. Cook the soy curls in a pan over medium high heat with a generous amount of oil until browned (about 10 minutes). 4. Add mushroom and onion and sauté until onions are translucent. 5. Add sauce, then reduce heat to low and cook for another 10 minutes. 6. Remove from heat and stir in the sesame seeds. Serve over rice!
