Ingredients
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp yeast
- 2 cups flour (more as needed)
- 3/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp dried basil (optional)
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano (optional)
Instructions
1. Mix water, yeast, and sugar, and let sit for 10 minutes. 2. (Optional) While yeast is activating, mix olive oil with herbs. 2. Add the olive oil and salt and knead together, adding flour until no longer only slightly sticky. 3. Form into ball, spread butter or oil on top, then cover and let rise until doubled in size (30-60 minutes). If it's cold, cover it with a towel to keep warm.
